Diners will be able to enjoy a veritable feast of brunch favourites in a relaxed, interactive and vibrant environment. To add to this wonderful array of food The Cookbook Café will be using recipes from The Jewish Princess Cookbook in the lead up to Chanukah to create The Jewish Princess Sunday Brunch.

Guests who wish to come and sample recipes from “The Jewish Princess Cookbook” will find something for all the family… chocolate coins, (Chanukah gelt) and entertainment for the children plus a mix of traditional and contemporary Jewish and non-Jewish food to suit every palate. There will even be the opportunity to pick up a signed copy of the cookery bible that inspired this fusion brunch and meet the brains and beauty behind the must-have book, with Georgie & Tracey appearing at the first brunch on 11th November, November 18th and joining you to light the Menorah on Sunday 9th December. So book early to avoid disappointment, as tables are sure to go like “blintzes” (or “hot cakes”)…

Manchester Food and Drink Festival – October 6-16 2006
I was Princess Presenting on Wednesday 11 October plus I attended a Princess Party and a special signing of my book.
Manchester Food and Drink Festival was bigger and better than previous years , obviously, because I’m was there! – with more events taking place in the City's best restaurants, exhibition spaces and museums. There were celebrity chefs galore, demos of the latest techniques, ingredients and kitchen gadgets, tasting sessions, competitions and all sorts of food related shenanigans throughout the fortnight of culinary fun. www.foodanddrinkfestival.com
One off events included gourmet evenings celebrating food from around the world and throughout the years at restaurants throughout the City, numerous chances to learn more about tasting beer, wine and my favourite – pink champagne.

Kosher Food Day with the Jewish Princesses!
Manchester Food Drink Festival Food and Drink Retail Outlet of the Year 2005, the legendary ‘Titanics’ was at the Marquee to sample Kosher food and wine to all Festival-goers. The Jewish Princess Cookbook authors, Georgie Tarn and Tracey Fine, were also at the marquee to answer questions about their book in an informal book-signing event. From 5pm

MONDAY 28TH AUGUST
I flew out to Spain on an emergency JP mission (TO BAKE CAKES) for my first radio interview. Princess T accompanied me on the plane to make sure my luggage was safe (well I was carrying Camp Coffee essence!)
Once I had landed and unpacked (of course this took a little time) Princess T and I headed over to Princess G to bake the cakes and then bake ourselves in the sun. This is actually not quite true as we all sit under umbrellas (due to wrinkle paranoia)

Challah BakingBushey Synagogue, Thursday 29 June 2006
I have to confess I have always thought that baking bread was not particularly a princess pursuit, I even considered including a chapter within The Jewish Princess Cookbook called BREAD – YOU’VE GOT TO BE JOKING!
So when I was invited to a Challah baking evening, I was a little dubious. However, I have to tell you it was worth the dough (sorry about the pun). Challah is sweet, eggy doughy, delicious bread which is traditionally served on the Jewish Sabbath – check out my recipe for Choca-Challah pudding in The Jewish Princess Cookbook.
Well we all crowded into the hall, ingredients were placed in front of us and under the wonderful tutorage of Brenda Saffer – a lady who is so capable and kind, I knew I was in safe hands.
Anyway off we went – honey, quick working yeast (of course) white flour, eggs, water, oil and salt and you know what it was easy and almost miraculous, watching these simple ingredients rising and expanding and eventually being platted ready to be baked into bread.
This evening was great fun and even kneading the dough for ten minutes was a great stress reliever plus a great arm workout, however my pious princess moment has passed and in future I will still be buying my weekly challahs.
